THE WORD - Editor Brock Eastman
I have some unfortunate news this month. Kenny our feature editor is moving to Arizona, and he will not be able to contribute articles anymore. Kenny has been a real inspiration to this magazine for the past six months, he has come up with some of the most original and entertaining stories. This month is Kenny's last month as contributing editor, but he plans on writing some articles in the future when he has some time. This months issue will be a special one, because it will be the last to have Kenny Beghtel's enthusiasm. Kenny has been an inspiration for me, and many others really enjoy his thoughts on the email list. Kenny is also very dissapointed at the VWoA situation, I think we all are. VWoA has been messing around with some of their most loyal volkswagen enthusiasts. This needs to stop. If you are a PR person for VWoA, tell someone what is going on.

On another note, Drew Vroman ( owner of Oasis VW ) is in the process of moving his business to Sandy Valley Nevada, and create one of the premiere volkswagen related shops in the USA. Drew is also a contributing editor for the magazine with Dirtbugz review. If any of you have icq'd or had an email from him you know what kind of loyal enthusiast he is. I can't wait for Drew to get settled and get back onto the scene. I know that many of the readers enjoy his dirtbugz review section. It is a great section for all off-roaders. This month another contributing editor, Guif from the virtualbeetlemusuem.com is showing off some of his great work. I think many of you will be impressed with his work, and he's a heck of a nice guy. His talents are absolutely incredible. We will all miss Kenny, and wish him the best of luck for his future. You can email him at kenny@vwmagazine.com Have a great Easter! Also, if you do not have your VW pictures on your computer, send them to me by snail mail, at :

OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS
In the future we will have bi-monthly issues. The magazine has been very demanding on my time personally and I feel that a much better issue can be developed if it is spread out into two months. This would mean six issues a year. We will still have all of the same great features, and tech articles, but we want to add more on the personal side of the vdub community. Starting next month, there will be the May/June issue of Brock's VW Magazine Online. We may also even change the name of the magazine, to sambas & ovals. We hope you enjoy this issue, we are doing our best. With 2 months to do an issue it will give us so much more time to get detailed, and also give you more features, tech tips, and just an all-around better magazine. We are sad with Kenny's departure from the magazine due to his situation with moving, and preparing to attend a local school. Best of luck to him!
