Well, it has been a really busy and eventful summer.
Many of you reading this have probley met me by now.
We have attended the Sacramento Bugorama ( may 30 ), the VW Classic ( june 12 ), and
VWs on the Move ( june 27 ). All of these shows were a real blast to go to.
We drove 11 hours to get to the VW Classic from Redding California, the overall expense
of the entire trip was nearly $400 dollars ( OUCH ). We did realize why the VW Classic is
such a great show, and why I want to come back next year. The swap meet there is incredible, I mean there
is not much you cannot find. I found what I was looking for, a set of Weber 40 IDF carbs.
I did not drive my 62 VW Ragtop on the 1400 mile round trip, because it would have killed me,
and our booth and bags would not fit in it. We ended up taking a honda wagon, which barely fit
all of it. The show was just huge, and there will be pictures in the october/november issue of the magazine
for the VW Classic. Well, I promised you pictures and video's of the Sacramento Bugorama, they are here!
There are three downloable video's at the Sac Bugorama show page. As for going to the VWs on the Move show in Vallejo, we had a heck of a time getting down there. We had major car trouble, and we didn't get there til after 1:00p.m. Most of the good stuff at the swap was gone, and so were the cars! We want to thank KD motorsports for inviting us to cover this show. Many more changes are happening, I am currently in the process of moving my residence to Chico California, about 70 miles south of Redding. I will be attending Chico State University in September. One problem I see is that I will not even have a garage, getting out in the barn or garage to write tech articles will be a bit harder, mainly because it's 70 miles away! This is going to make it very hard to work on my type2.
I hope that you will submit your VW to be shown on this magazine, you can go to :

Also, if you do not have your VW pictures on your computer, send them to me by snail mail, at : For all of you who would like to see my latest project, click here.
