MARCH/APRIL 2000

THE WORD - Editor Brock Eastman

Here we are again! Another month @ vwmagazine.com - WOW!

The last 60 days have gone by in a hurry. It's great tha tthe VW show season is starting to come back around in another month. It has been a long winter for me, since I haven't been to a show since September of 1999.

It's now 2000, a new decade where the entire VW scene is changing. Vendors are now getting on the internet to sell Vw parts. Four years ago, most vendors thought the internet was a joke, and they never dreamed of the amount of commerce that is going through it today. This is now the time where technology is changing the way we live, communicate, and even complete our VW projects !

This year alone, we will be seeing tons of new VW parts houses getting on the internet, to get a piece of the action.

Here at VWMAGAZINE.COM, our business is evolving as the internet has been evolving. We are starting another magazine which will be incorporating newer VWs, and still aircooled vws too. The magazine will be called " XCOOLED ". The address will be www.xcooled.com.

Of course, vwmagazine will still be here. We are trying to branch our our efforts to the watercooled and newer VW stuff through xcooled.com.

This months issue of the magazine has quite a bit of variety. We will be making an attempt to keep all of the VW fans out there informed of *ANY* new VW related information, even video games that have VWs in them!

I hope you enjoy the issue, I really had a great time doing this one. There is just so many new things out there ! I am looking forward to a great show season, and I hope to see you out there in the California shows !

If you have any commments about improving the magazine, or things you would like to see in here, please drop us a line brock@vwmagazine.com - email me.

I hope that you will submit your VW to be shown on this magazine, you can go to : http://www.vwmagazine.com/enter.html to enter your VW. Also, if you do not have your VW pictures on your computer, send them to me by snail mail, at :

A LITTLE HISTORY ABOUT THIS MAGAZINE.

This magazine started way back in November of 1997. Since then, the internet and web design has taken off. We had our old site at http://members.aol.com/sambavwman for the first year. We would recieve 10-20K hits per month then, we now recieve over 3500 hits per day, and sometimes even over 4,000. We realized how big of a need there was for the VW community to have a magazine they could tap into everytime they signed onto the net. We have been with you for the past 26 months, even though we have had some rocky roads, we plan on staying here for a very long time. I started this magazine when as a hobby and to learn web design. I am truly encouraged by the support of the internet VW community, and I thank you all who visit every month, or every day!

It's too bad VWOA coulden't be supportive like the rest of the VW world.
