Story: Brock Eastman | Photos: John
It has a 1776cc engine with weber 40 IDFs, full flowed AS21 case with an Oberg filter, counter-weighted crank, Cima pistons. Gene Berg; oil sump, oil pump, chrome-moly pushrods, heavy duty rocker shafts, and carb linkage. The transaxle has a "poor mans posi" from Berg, a crown close ratio 3rd, and welded syncros. The front suspension is a ball-joint unit that I cut apart and made hydraulicly-operated linkage for. The hydraulic pump fits inside the nose. A cylinder rotates the center torsion bar anchors to raise and lower the car. The body has steel flares, welded doors. 6" chopped windshield frame, and Deltron paint. The wheels are Centerlines with 195-50-13 tires on the front, and 225-50-15s on the rear.
