STORY: Brock Eastman | PICTURES: CRAIG FOGLEMAN ( OWNER )

Craig Fogleman recently sent us this ghia for a feature. We really loved the fact that so much custom bodywork had been done to this ghia. It is a 1970, and Craig has had it for 10 years. Would you believe this ghia has been in three car wrecks? Craig had to learn to do bodywork after this, and he now teaches a bodywork class at the local community college in Tarboro, NC.

The car now has shaved door handles, a frenched antenna, frenched license plate, filled seams and shaved trim. '63 bug headlights light the way with shaved turn signals that are mounted in the nostrils. Fender flares are pirated from an 80's ford expedition. The wheels are Euro Stars with 195-60 tires on front and 205-60 tires on the rear. The bumpers are by BRIZ. The paint on this baby is DUPONT Chroma Base in a 1992 Izuzu coral reef for all of you who would like this color on your car. The interior consists of a California Concepts Kit in black vinyl and velour. Da Bumpin stereo consists of a sony cd player, two 6" alpine coaxials in the front kick panels and Jensen's bandpass box in back. A 140 Watt Pioneer amp pushes the two 12" woofers. The engine is a bone stock '74 dual port with an extractor. Craig's newest plans for the car is to get a billet steering wheel and a new exhaust system and he is going to call it done! All of you custom bodywork freaks should take note of this one. Sent to us by Craig Fogleman, RT 1 box 748, Tarboro, NC 27886.
