This month's toy feature is to salute the Franklin Mint Bus.
Even though the bus is $149.00, it is such a replica for the bus enthusiast. There are a limited number of these made, I was lucky enough to purchase one back in 1996. The bus is a 1963, 23 window deluxe samba microbus.
Some really cool features on it are :

  • Openable engine deck lid
  • Opening Drivers, passengers & cargo doors
  • Sliding plastic windows
  • Flip down Middle seat- just like the real one!
  • Rear hatch lid opens
  • Steerable Steering wheel

    For you VW Historians out there, did you know that 1963 was the last year for the 23 window bus?
    After 63, they went to the 21 window.
